The North West Tank and Military Vehicle Group

  The North West Tank and Military Vehicle Group (NWTMVG) was formed to attract like minded people who enjoy tank and military vehicle modelling.

We meet every first Sunday in the month between 10.30am and 4pm to discuss and battle our tanks and vehicles which have been built either from kits, scratch built and also built from 3D printed files.

We set out a battlefield display with trees and buildings to provide a terrain and also to add interest.

Some tanks have battling capability which enables them damage or slow down the progress of their opponents on the battlefield.

All the activities depend on how many members arrive on the day.

There are discussions too, sharing experience and to encourage where possible, correct colours and weathering techniques are used for the tanks and vehicles.

Most of the scales range from 1/16 to 1/6, the larger scales we use for displays at outdoor and larger indoor shows e.g. Blackpool Model Show. We like to participate in these shows where we can to share our interest with others and to hopefully attract new people into the hobby and new members to our group.

There is tea, coffee and biscuits provided free for members and there is a corner shop where other items including hot food are available.
