The Manchester group of NARTM meets on the second Monday of each month from 7:30—10:30 to share tips, reviews and information on all aspects of Road Transport modelling.

The National Association of Road Transport Modellers was founded in 1983 to foster the interests of the road transport modeller. Membership of NARTM is open to anyone with an interest in road transport models, whether you collect die-casts, build kits, scratch build, do conversions or run a business supplying products for the modeller.

NARTM members bring along their current or recent builds to share with others usually on a pre-agreed theme. The 2024 themes for the Manchester group of NARTM are set out below:

January 8th NO MEETING.
February 12th Petrol tankers and fuel company service or delivery vans.
March 11th Commercial vehicles whose manufacturers name begins with the letter B.
April 8th Found in a quarry dump trucks, face shovels etc.
May 13th Twist Locks, demountable containers, Drops lorries, skeletal trailers.
June 10th Fire service vehicles.
July 8th Weathered or distressed vehicles, abandoned or being restored.
August 12th 8 wheelers (rigid only)
September 9th Dioramas or displays on bases.
October 14th Annual workshop, bring your paints, glues tools and something to work on.
November 11th Timber Haulage – Round or Flat.
December 9th Roped and sheeted, lorries trailers vans or cars.
January 13th 2025 NO MEETING
February 10th 2025 Winter related vehicles, snow ploughs, coal merchants, heating oil delivery vehicles.
March 10th 2025 Tipper trucks.
